Wood Badge 2008 Registration Now Open PDF Print E-mail

The Capitol Area Council's 2008 Wood Badge Course is now taking registrations for this fall.

The course consists of two full, three-day weekends October 10-12 and November 7-9.  The course is limited to the first 48 Scouters who apply and pay a refundable $75 deposit.  This will be the last Wood Badge course offered before the fall of 2009.

Archery Instructor Training on May 17 PDF Print E-mail

If you want to teach Archery merit badge, supervise a range at camp, or run a quality archery program for your Boy Scout Troop or Venturing Crew, then plan to attend the Basic Archery Instructor course being sponsored by the Capitol Area Council, Boy Scouts of America. Students who complete the course and pass a test will receive the Basic Archery Instructor certification (previously Level I Instructor) valid for three years. joomla_logo_smOur new website is based on Open Source technology known as Joomla. The real strength of this system is that our user community takes an active role in adding content to the website. The volunteers that administer the website are hosting one-and-a-half hour training classes to introduce folks to how to add content to the website.
