Save Texas Cemetaries - As a land surveyor one of the interesting things I come across from time to time are cemeteries. I have discovered and mapped lost cemeteries as well as found lost head stones and returned them to their cemetery. There is a non profit group here in Texas called "Save Texas Cemeteries"
This group has taken on the job of documenting and protecting cemeteries across the state. Between Save Texas Cemeteries and the Austin Travis County History Center I have usually found what I need to find. But sometimes the data is just not there.
Well here is an opportunity for an Eagle Project. Documenting and surveying a cemetery. Last year our scouts surprised me with there interest in Genealogy and this a natural progression in that area of interest. As well the scouts were interested in the cemetery clean up at the Bamboo Ranch.
