Scouts BSA Leader Training

Learn how to deliver a great Scouting program for the youth in your unit. You can take some courses online or attend classroom sessions taught by experienced leaders who provide real world experience to complement the professionally developed curriculum from Scouting America.

Are you a “Trained” leader?

Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters are considered trained when they complete:

• Safeguarding Youth training (online, replaces Youth Protection Training YPT)

• Scoutmaster Position-Specific Training (online)

• Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) (outdoor classroom)

Troop Committee Chairs and Members are considered trained when they complete:

• Safeguarding Youth training (online)
