FOR: Webelos II Scouts (5th Grade) and their parents, and for Webelos Den Leaders
Armadillo District wants to give all Webelos II Scouts who have earned the Webelos Badge the opportunity to complete the requirements for the Arrow of Light Award before crossing over to Boy Scouts this spring. Some Webelos II Scouts need additional opportunities to earn the required activity pins.
The 2012 Arrow of Light Academy will be held at the Frank Fickett Center (except Outdoorsman, which will be held at Lost Pines Scout Reservation) in January and February. Enrollment in each class is limited and is on a first come, first served basis. Each Webelos Scout must register individually and must register separately for each class desired. Parents or den leaders may register their Scouts. You will receive a confirmation email or telephone call when you have been accepted to each class.

Souper Bowl of Caring Food Drive |

Please help the 2012 Souper Bowl of CaringSM Food Drive
Food pantries need help! Please do one of the following:
- Pick a neighborhood and canvas it with door hangers. Collect, count, and report the food collected to the Armadillo District coordinators.
- Place a food collection center at your place of worship. Collect count, and report the food collected to the Armadillo District coordinators.
- Have each Scout in your unit bring 5 or more cans of food to the Report to State parade on Feb. 4, 2012.

Cub Scout Day Camp will be returning to Emma Long Metropolitan Park for 2011!
We're working on an exciting program this year - bringing back old favorites like Swimming, BB Guns, and Archery while mixing in some new ideas. This year's theme is "Digging in the Dirt", so who knows what treasures our Scouts will find…
Camp will take place June 18-22, 2012 and all campers will have a full day every day with tons of activity and sports, and a chance to learn and explore. We also will learn about and participate in a service project to give back to our fantastic sponsors at Emma Long Metropolitan Park.
We hope your Scout will be able to join us for the week. Registration will open soon at bsacac.org!
